Difference between hot-rolled strip steel and cold-rolled steel sheet
Do you know the difference between hot-rolled strip steel and cold-rolled steel sheet? I do believe that you can make clear after you read the following contents.
The cold-rolled steel sheet has the characteristics of work-hardening, low toughness, and good yield ratio, so it can be used to make some parts like leaf spring by cold bending. Moreover, its yield point is relatively close to tensile strength, so it has no foreseeability of danger in use.
1) The cold-rolled steel sheet has no surface scale with good quality. The hot-rolled steel sheet has surface scale with the allowance below nominal size.
2) The hot-rolled steel sheet, with good toughness and poor surface smoothness, is relatively affordable. The cold-rolled steel sheet, with good extensibility and toughness, is relatively expensive.
3) The rolled steel sheets are divided into the cold-rolled steel sheet and the hot-rolled steel sheet, differentiated by recrystallization temperature.
4) Cold-rolled steel sheet: The cold-rolling, in general, is used to produce strip steel at high rolling speed. Hot-rolled steel sheet: The hot rolling temperature is close to the forging temperature.
